Biographical Note for Juul, Ole (1838-1903) :

Juul was born September 10, 1838 at V. Slidre in Valdres, Norway, of Juul Olson and Betsy.  He immigrated to America in 1848.  He attended Concordia College in St. Louis from 1860-1861 and Concordia Seminary from 1861 to 1864 (C.T.).  Immediately after graduating from Seminary, Juul began his work in the ministry, serving as a pastor in Dodgeville, Wisconsin 1864-1866.  Later he moved to Chicago to lead Our Savior’s Church for seventeen years (1876-93).  Juul died November 22, 1903.

Juul ble født i Valdres 10. september 1838. Han utvandra til Amerika i 1848. Han studerte ved Concordia College i St. Louis fra 1860 til 1861 og Concordia Seminary fra 1861 til 1864. Like etter eksamen derfra, jobbet han som prest i Dodgeville, Wisconsin til 1866. Senere flyttet han til Chicago og var prest i Our Savior’s Church i sytten år. Han ga blant annet ut Om daaben (1884). Juul døde 22. november 1903.
