Biographical Note for Roalkvam, Halvard (1845-1926) :

Roalkvam was born in Suldal, Norway on June 5, 1845.  He graduated from Luther College in 1874 and attended Concordia Seminary.  He taught several courses at Luther from 1878-1886.  He was also the college librarian from 1882-1886.  In addition to teaching, he served as a pastor in Minnesota and Wisconsin.  He served as pastor in North Prairie, Minnesota from 1910 until 1916.

Roalkvam ble født 5. juni 1845 i Suldal. Han gikk ut fra Luther College i 1874 og studerte senere ved Concordia Seminary. Han underviste ved Luther fra 1878 til 1886. Han var også skolebibliotekar fra 1882 til 1886. Roalkvam tjeneste gjorde også som prest i Minnesota og Wisconsin. Han var prest i North Prairie, Minnesota fra 1910 til 1916, da han trakk seg fa stillingen. De siste ti åra av sitt liv bodde han i Coon Valley, Wisconsin.
