Biographical Note for Anderson, Abel (1847-1925) :

Anderson was born in Albion, Wisconsin on Dec. 6, 1847.  He studied at Luther College (1864-65) and Concordia Seminary (1872-74CT).  He then served as pastor at Muskegon, Michigan, 1874-87; Appleton, MN, 1887-1919; Long Lake, MN, 1887-88; Clinton, MNm 1887-96; Montevideo, MN, 1888-1919. Teacher, Windom Institute, 1888-99.  Abel was the brother of Rasmus B. Anderson, a professor of Scandinavian Studies at the University of Wisconsin, Madison. Married to Marie Olson. Died Nov. 11, 1925.

Anderson ble født i Albion, Wisconsin. Han studerte ved Luther College og Concordia Seminary. Deretter jobbet han som prest i flere menigheter i Michigan og Minnesota, fra 1874 til 1919. Abel var bror til Rasmus B. Anderson, professor i skandinaviske språk ved Universitetet i Wisconsin, Madison.
