Biographical Note
Bradford "Brad" Hustad graduated from Luther College in 1960 with a B.A. in physical education. During his time at Luther, he lettered in football, track, and golf, but was particularly noted for his football career. In addition to becoming the first sophomore to win the rushing title in the NCAA (1957), he was a member of the Iowa Conference championship team (1957), selected to attend the Senior Bowl in Mobile, Alabama, and was named to the all-Iowa Conference three times (1957, 1958, and 1959). Hustad went on to earn his M.S. in education from the University of Wisconsin and became a teacher. Hustad was inducted into the Luther College Athletic Hall of Fame in 1974.
