A collection of correspondence, papers, speeches, a scrapbook, and writings from 1872 - 1956 from the office of Oscar L. Olson, third president of Luther College.

Scope and Contents of the Materials

This collection contains correspondence, papers, speeches, a scrapbook, and writings from 1872 - 1956 from the office of Oscar L. Olson, third president of Luther College, during his administration. These materials include personal and official correspondence with family members, students, faculty, friends, and associations; his autobiography; several writings; speeches; lecture notes; photographs; glass slides; and a scrapbook. The majority of the collection is in English but a small portion of the family scrapbook is in Norwegian.
