Biographical Note for Carlsen, Lauritz A. K. (1842-1913) : Lauritz Annaeus Carlsen was born Nov. 6, 1842, at Trondhjem, Norway to Rev. Nils Arnoldus Carlsen and Anne Margrethe (Holtermann). He attended Trondhjem Cathedral School (1853-1860) and Christiania University (1860-1868). Carlsen was ordained and immigrated to the United States in 1871. He held pastorates in Alexandria MN, San Francisco, CA, Sidney, Australia, Brandon, MN, Great Falls, MT, Genesee, ID, and the Seamen's Mission in San Francisco. Carlsen passed away on May 14, 1913.
