Biographical Note for Aaker, John T. (1875-1947) :

John T. Aaker was born in Ridgeway, Iowa on October 25, 1871. He attended Luther College from 1887 until he graduated in 1893. While at Luther College, Aaker participated in Concert Band and went on the 1891 tour around the Midwest.

Aaker taught at Bruflat Academy in Portland, North Dakota from 1894-1895, then taught at Park Region Luther College from 1895-1904. From 1897 through 1904, he also served as president of Park Region. Aaker left education in 1905, working at a bank, then serving as president of Soo Lumber Company in Velva, North Dakota beginning in 1907.

Aaker passed away on December 16, 1947.
