Historical Note: Born in Jaederen, Norway April 12, 1860, to Torger and Serina (Vellesen) Aarrestad. Attended amtssoke, 1877-78; Kristianssand Normal School, 1878-80. immigrated to America, between 1884-1891; attended Chicago Luther Seminary, 1895-1896; served as pastor of a church in Chicago; 1891-1893; served as pastor in Morris, Illinois, 1893-1927; married Barbara Olsen, 1896.
