Biographical Note for Haatvedt, Rolfe A. (1908-1979) : Graduated from Luther College, 1929; received his PhD from the University of Michigan; taught at Luther College in the classics department, 1936-1942; returned to Luther between 19146-1950, 1967-1971; member of the U.S. Navy during World War II; worked for the U.S. Embassy in Norway and then for the CIA. Married to Helen (Hoff) Haatvedt.
