Biographical Note
Reuben "Jack" Frost was born April 26, 1907 in Sheyenne. He grew up in Spring Grove, Minnesota. Frost graduated from Luther College in 1928, going on to earn an M.A. from the University of Iowa and a PhD from the University of Oregon (year). He spent the majority of his career as Director of Health, Physical Education and Athletics at South Dakota State University and Buxton Professor of Physical Education and Director of the Division of Health, Physical Education, and Recreation at Springfield College. Among other honors, he was awarded a Luther College Distinguished Service Award in 1978. Frost passed away on February 17, 1989.
