Hollis Hunt was born September 1, 1927 in Madison, Wisconsin to Hollis O. Hunt and Martha C. Thompson Hunt. He served in the Naval Reserves, 1945-1946, before attended college. He graduated from Luther College in 1951. While at Luther, Hunt was a member of Schola Cantorum, the Nordic Cathedral Choir, and the Social Committee. He worked as a staff photographer and business maanger for the College Chips and was on the staff of the Pioneer yearbook.
Hunt married Shelia Braund on September 2, 1950. They had one child. He passed away on May 26, 2013.
