Documentation consists of unpublished notebooks on evangelism; "Minder Fra Valdres (Memories from Valdres);" "Lasebog fro Boern," a reading book for children; "The gamle og det nye mennesket;" seven published books written by Kirkeberg; newspaper clippings.

Kirkeberg was born in Valdres, Norway in 1849.  He studied at the Bruuns College in Norway from 1867 until 1869 and later taught there.  He emigrated in 1874.  He was a pastor in Elk Horn, Iowa from 1876 until 1880 and later in Racine, Wisconsin.  He spent the end of his life in Park River, North Dakota.  Kirkeberg wrote about theology, a children's book and a memoir called Minder fra Valdres (Memories from Valdres).

Kirkeberg var født i Valdres i 1849. Han gikk på Bruuns folkehøgskole, 1867-1869 og var senere lærer der. Han utvandra i 1874. Han ble prest ved Elk Horn, Iowa, 1876-1880 og seinere i Racine, Wisconsin. Sine eldre dager tilbrakte han i Park River, Nord-Dakota. Han ga ut en rekke teologiske skrifter og var sterkt knytta til dansk åndsliv. Han ga også ut ei minnebok, Minder fra Valdres,1919.
