Biographical Note

Graduated from Luther College, 1905; graduated from the Luther Theological Seminary in St. Paul, Minnesota, 1907; served as pastor in Seattle, Washington, ending 1909; earned a MA from the University of Chicago, 1913; earned his PhD from the University of Chicago, 1925; taught physchology at Luther College, starting 1909; became president at Pacific Lutheran College, 1928; returned to Luther to teach bible, religious education, and philosophy, 1943; retired 1950.
