Biographical Note

Born in Vos, Norway. Attended common school in Norway; elementary school at Big Canoe, Iowa, 1858; High school, Madison, Wis., 1859; Evansville, Wis., 1859-60; Luther College, 1861, 1864, 1869. Teacher in Norway, 1855-57; Liberty Prairie, Wis., 1857; Big Canoe, Iowa, 1861-64; taught at Luther,1868-1872; served as part of the Iowa Legislature, 1872. Died in 1875.
