Krohn, Jens Ivarsen (1834-1889) | Nordic
Krohn was born July 30, 1834 at Melhus, N. Darlene, Norway, of Ivar Hansen Krohn and Kari (Melhus). He was a teacher in Melangen, Norway for two years (2855-57), followed by his attendance at Klaebu Normal School from 1857 to 1859. He immigrated to the United States in 1860 and attended Concordia Seminary in St. Louis during the Civil War (1861-63). In 1863 he became the pastor of Our Savior’s Church in Chicago. He served that parish for thirteen years (1876). He died January 19, 1889.

Krohn ble født i Melhus, Norge, 30. juli 1834. Han jobbet som lærer i Melangen i to år. Han utvandra til Amerika i 1860 og studerte ved Concordia Seminary i St. Louis under den amerikanske borger krigen. I 1863 ble han prest i Our Savior’s Church i Chicago, og tjenestegjorde der i tretten år. Han døde 19. januar 1889. Han skrev et hefte om nattverden (mot metodistenes lære).
