Vinnor was born in Norway. He immigrated to America in 1861. He attended Luther College and Concordia Seminary.
Born June 7, 1846, at Sigdal, Drammen, Norway to Thron and Christi (Gautesen) Andersen. Immigrated to America in 1861. Attended Luther College, 1863-69; Concordia Sem., St. Louis, 1869-72. He was a pastor (asst. to Rev. H. A. Preus), Spring Prairie Wis., 1872-73. He died April 13 (Easter Sunday) 1873.
